Wendi Introduces the Winter 2021 Collection

Wendi Introduces the Winter 2021 Collection

3 minute read

At the end of 2020, I did an Instagram poll asking who was brave enough to make New Year’s resolutions. The results were interesting… I found that people were much more cautious about putting themselves “out there” this year. And I can’t say I blame them. I, too, felt battered by the harsh realities 2020 brought. As an entrepreneur, a mom, a wife, and as a friend, I felt the difficulties on all fronts. When 2020 finally ended, the only word I could use to describe it was broken.

I began reflecting on how I was approaching 2021 and noticed a shift in my own thinking and behavior.  Normally, I am a go-getter. You can see this nature reflected in a planner I created last year. This year, although I still plan to accomplish many things, I recognize the need to do it in a different way.  If I am to do good things, I also need to be refreshed, renewed and healed. As I started to share my own reflections, I realized many others are in the same place with the same needs.

Out of this place came the inspiration for the Winter 2021 collection. As I designed this collection, I asked: How can I help people create healing spaces? How can I help people connect with what is good, real, and authentic? How can I help them grow and move past the trauma of 2020?

Over the first few months of 2021, you’ll see how I answered these questions. Every item in the collection is a hope of healing. You’ll see an abundance of products made from natural materials, like wooden bowls and handcrafted pottery made by an artist in my town (I love these vases!) This comes from my belief that things made from organic materials are emotionally grounding for us. You’ll also see new body and home botanicals that remind you to be gentle and kind with yourself and those with whom you live. Finally, you’ll see some apparel and a journal that gently encourage you to move forward.

While the work to overcome and rebuild is for each of us to do separately, it is a joy I treasure to support you in your process. I hear we’ve been advised not to put any expectations onto 2021, but I can’t help myself. I truly believe that good things are ahead for both of us.
