Ingredients

whole vanilla beans (I use grade a Tahitian)

High-quality vodka (about a cup, or enough to cover the beans in your container)

Glass bottle or jar with a tight seal
Directions
Split the vanilla beans lengthwise and drop them into your glass container.
Cover the beans completely with vodka and seal.
Store in a cool, dark place for about 2 months, giving it a gentle shake once a week.
