FROM THE FOUNDER
If you take away one thing from my story, let it be this:
Life, much like the rocky soil of our Colorado farm, can be tough. But when you tend to it with patience, purpose, and a little grit, it can also be breathtakingly beautiful. The joy is in the journey. And if there’s one thing I know well—probably just like you—it’s the journey.
Maybe you found this page for a reason. Maybe you’re standing at a crossroads, wondering if you should take the leap. If that’s you, let me be the one to tell you—you are meant for something special.
Whatever brought you here today, I’m grateful for it. I’m grateful for this road, for this community, for this moment. And I’m grateful for you.
Welcome to Wendi’s Good Things Market. We’re so glad you’re here.
Our Story of Purpose, Passion & Finding Joy in the Journey

finding joy in the journey
The Road to the Market
By 2020, my farm-to-table restaurant in Alamosa, Colorado, had become everything I had dreamed—lively, welcoming, filled with fresh food, laughter, and community. It was the kind of place that felt like a Hallmark movie, where people gathered to share meals and moments.
But when the world shifted, and uncertainty loomed, I found myself at a crossroads. I sat in my office, listening to my employees laughing in the kitchen, and I made a decision: If we were going down, we were going down fighting.

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY
Within a week, we pivoted -
—launching an online grocery store, offering delivery, and making sure our community had what they needed. At first, we sold anything we could—restaurant ingredients, pantry staples, even bulk cilantro! I laugh now at the absurdity of it, but in those moments, we weren’t just staying in business. We were serving our people.

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY
Then something unexpected happened...
As we began bringing in regional artisan products, something clicked. The fear gave way to fun. And once we found our rhythm, we started making our own products—things crafted with care, with heart, with the same love and intention I had always poured into my food.

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY
just like that, the market was born
The truth is, this was always my dream—I just didn’t know it yet. Creating something lasting—products people could bring into their homes, recipes that could be passed down, pieces of a simpler, more intentional life—that had always been my quiet dream.
Now, I get to share it with you.
