The food we make on a Tuesday night. The towel we reach for every morning. The flowers cut from the garden. The candle lit before dinner. The people we invite to stay a little longer.
Wendi’s Good Things Market is built around the belief that everyday life is worth paying attention to—and that useful things can still be beautiful, joyful, and full of character.
We don’t believe in saving the good things for special occasions.

The Road to the Market
By 2020, our farm-to-table restaurant in Alamosa had become a place people came to gather—over fresh food, long lunches, celebrations, and everyday meals.
When the world changed, so did everything we knew about how to serve people. We had a choice: wait and hope, or find a new way forward.
We chose to keep moving.
That decision became the beginning of Wendi’s Good Things Market.

Within a week, we pivoted -
When our dining room closed, we started asking a different question: What did people need from us now?
We began offering groceries, pantry staples, prepared foods, and other good things people could bring home. What started as a way to keep serving our community quickly became something bigger.
We discovered that people weren’t only looking for a meal. They wanted the ingredients, products, and little comforts that made everyday life feel better.
That was the beginning of Wendi’s Good Things Market.

Then something unexpected happened...
What surprised us was what happened next.
The things people came back for weren’t only the necessities. They were the products that made home feel a little better—the good jam, the candle that changed the mood of a room, the pantry staple worth keeping on hand, the small things that made an ordinary day feel more considered.
We started paying closer attention to what people loved, bringing in more of it, and eventually creating more of our own.
Somewhere along the way, the temporary market became the thing we were meant to build.

And the flowers grew
As Wendi’s Good Things Market grew, we needed more than a storefront. We needed room for inventory, production, packing, shipping—and a place where customers could still come experience the Market in person.
There wasn’t really a space that fit what we needed, so we built one.
At the same time, our family was beginning a flower farm just outside Del Norte. We built the new Market alongside it, and what started as a practical solution slowly became something much more.
The flowers grew. The Market grew. We started setting long tables outside, cooking, gathering, hosting, cutting dahlias, and watching the seasons change around us.
Bloomstead became the place where the life behind Wendi’s Good Things Market could actually happen.
That last sentence is the key. It ties the business reason for building it to the aspirational world we’re selling now.
And I like that the truth is basically: we needed a warehouse and our family wanted a flower farm…and then it became a thing. That little bit of accidental evolution makes the story feel younger and more believable than something like “we dreamed of creating a lifestyle destination.
Good Things For Every Day
The things we use every day shape the way home feels.
A jar opened at breakfast. A candle lit before dinner. A towel that gets softer with use. Flowers cut from the field. Something good brought to the table when friends stop by.
We choose and create things that are useful, beautiful, and meant to be lived with—not saved for someday.
Because ordinary days are worth making good.
